‘Health campaigners are today calling for U.S. authorities to speed up their approval of a new drug hoped to be the first cure for the deadly Ebola virus.

There is currently no cure or vaccine for the disease, which has claimed the lives of 672 people in West Africa, since February.

The head of global charity The Wellcome Trust earlier this month called for experimental drugs to be offered to those diagnosed with the virulent illness in West Africa.

Despite the drugs not being fully tested Jeremy Farrar, professor of tropical medicine and director of the trust, said Ebola’s spread in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone is ‘out of control’.’

‘Now that the world has been put on notice about Ebola, it’s time to try facts instead of scare tactics.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is the primary reporting agency on case numbers and deaths. Taking their stats with a few grains of salt, but recognizing that mainstream accounts come from WHO, here is their July 25 update, “Ebola Virus Disease, West Africa”:

‘Western medicine is so aggressive and cut-throat that even the idea of prevention has been skewed to the point of chopping off and cutting out body parts for “preventing” cancer that isn’t even there.

Fear and self-mutilation are not the answer. Today in American mainstream medicine, women are given the option to remove healthy breasts, ovaries and other female parts so cancer won’t get a hold of them in the future. This is like preventing house fires by first burning out important internal structures that might catch fire one day.’

‘A pair of studies recently published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology (FCT) reveals the double standard used in evaluating the safety of genetically modified (GM) foods, says Claire Robinson, in a July 11 editorial on the website GM Watch.

In November 2013, FCT editor A. Wallace Hayes forcibly retracted a study led by researcher Gilles-Eric Seralini. The long-term study had found organ damage, hormone disruption and increased tumor and mortality rates in rats fed NK603 “Roundup Ready” (glyphosate-resistant) GM corn contaminated with glyphosate levels ruled safe by regulators. In retracting the paper, Hayes called the findings “inconclusive,” because not enough rats were studied and because the variety of rat used (Sprague-Dawley) was particularly prone to tumors.’

‘Nigeria’s Health Minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu, has officially announced the first case of the Ebola virus in the Nigerian capital of Lagos. The victim, a Liberian businessman who had only recently flown into the city of 21 million people, was placed in quarantine on Sunday, only to die a few days later.

Nigeria’s patient zero is likely to have contracted the virus from his sister, who died of its symptoms only three weeks prior, Reuters reported. The sick man is said to have given himself over to healthcare workers. “He made it known that he wasn’t feeling well,” WHO spokesman Paul Garwood told Reuters. It was then that he was taken into isolation where he died only days later.’

‘A woman diagnosed with MS after losing the ability to walk claims her symptoms were actually the result of mercury poisoning from dental fillings.

Eighteen months after Maria Indermuhle had dental treatment, doctors told the 32-year-old she had the lifelong crippling illness multiple sclerosis.

They warned the then 29-year-old the condition would leave her unable to walk and prepared her for a life on medication – crushing her dreams of becoming a mother.

But Mrs Indermuhle, who is from Inverness but lives in Switzerland, is now back to full health, having had the fillings she claims were responsible, removed.’

‘China has sealed off parts of its northwestern city of Yumen after a resident died of bubonic plague last week, state media reported on Tuesday.

A 38-year-old victim was infected by a marmot, a wild rodent, and died on July 16. Several districts of the city of about 100,000 people in Gansu province were subsequently turned into special quarantine zones, state news agency Xinhua said.

It said 151 people who came into direct contact with the victim were also placed in quarantine.’

‘High doses of brain-altering chemicals marketed as “anti-depressants” increase the likelihood of self-harm, rather than decreasing the risk, say Harvard health scientists in a study that analyzed data on 162,625 people.

Drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI’s) may raise the risk of suicidal behavior in children and young adults, according to the analysis. SSRI’s are the chemical substances which make up the antidepressants Prozac and Zoloft.’

‘California officials have ordered an emergency shut-down of 11 oil and gas waste injection sites and a review more than 100 others in the state’s drought-wracked Central Valley out of fear that companies may have been pumping fracking fluids and other toxic waste into drinking water aquifers there.

The state’s Division of Oil and Gas and Geothermal Resources on July 7 issued cease and desist orders to seven energy companies warning that they may be injecting their waste into aquifers that could be a source of drinking water, and stating that their waste disposal “poses danger to life, health, property, and natural resources.” The orders were first reported by the Bakersfield Californian, and the state has confirmed with ProPublica that its investigation is expanding to look at additional wells.’

‘A coalition of military servicemen is suing the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), which operates the devastated Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan, for injuries they sustained in the days following the massive earthquake and tsunami, which triggered three reactor core meltdowns.

One of these servicemen is Steve Simmons, a 17-year Navy veteran who says he sustained debilitating injuries after being called to provide aid following the disaster. Simmons, who served aboard the USS Ronald Reagan, claims that he lost the ability to use both his arms and legs, and that his hands are now “barely functional” due to radiation exposure.’

‘Those of us who have long been describing the pharmaceutical industry as a “criminal racket” over the last few years have been wholly vindicated by recent news. Drug and vaccine manufacturer Merck was caught red-handed by two of its own scientists faking vaccine efficacy data by spiking blood samples with animal antibodies.

GlaxoSmithKline has just been fined a whopping $3 billion for bribing doctors, lying to the FDA, hiding clinical trial data and fraudulent marketing. Pfizer, meanwhile has been sued by the nation’s pharmacy retailers for what is alleged as an “overarching anticompetitive scheme” to keep generic cholesterol drugs off the market and thereby boost its own profits.

The picture that’s emerging is one of a criminal drug industry that has turned to mafia tactics in the absence of any real science that would prove their products to be safe or effective. The emergence of this extraordinary evidence of bribery, scientific fraud, lying to regulators and monopolistic practices that harm consumers is also making all those doctors and “skeptics” who defended Big Pharma and vaccines eat their words.’
