Time to evict Tony Blair from the Middle East – and the world stage as a whole
By : UnknownTime to evict Tony Blair from the Middle East – and the world stage as a whole
‘Seven years ago Tony Blair was appointed as a special envoy to the Middle East.
It came just hours after he resigned as Prime Minister. While it has no salary it pays him huge dividends in the form of political access and the appearance of still having some clout.
His office – funded at around £2million a year by the EU, UN, US and Russia – is tasked with promoting the economic development of Palestine.’
‘He should be in the Middle East, not the UK’: Peace envoy Tony Blair blasted for throwing surprise birthday party for wife Cherie’s 60th at their £6million mansion – as Gaza death toll passes 1,050

‘Tony Blair – the Middle East Peace Envoy – threw a lavish birthday party for his wife on Friday night at their country bolthole in Buckinghamshire, while the grim death toll from the Gaza conflict passed the 1,050 mark.
Mr Blair, whose role is to hammer out a ceasefire in times of conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians, spent most of last week in the UK before hosting the couple’s friends at the party, estimated to have cost about £50,000.
He held the surprise 60th birthday party for Cherie at their £6million country mansion South Pavilions, formerly the home of Sir John Gielgud, inviting 150 of their closest friends, which included former New Labour ministers, as well as wealthy businessmen and TV celebrities.’
Tony Blair: I’m worth less than £20 million, and I’m not interested in making money
By : UnknownTony Blair: I’m worth less than £20 million, and I’m not interested in making money
‘Tony Blair has insisted he is worth less than £20 million and is not motivated by money.
The former Prime Minister, who has spent the seven years since he left Downing Street building a global network of business and charity ventures stretching from China to Africa to Latin America, insisted his personal wealth is less than one-fifth of the £100 million that has been reported.
However, Tony and Cherie Blair’s property empire alone – which includes a Buckinghamshire mansion and six London houses – is now thought to be worth more than £25 million. The couple have benefited from the capital’s booming top-end property market.’
Twenty Years On: The Shadow Of Tony Blair
By : UnknownTwenty Years On: The Shadow Of Tony Blair
‘Ex-Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair, notoriously, is a very rich man. He is also an adviser to various Middle Eastern and central Asian dictators, while pursuing a formal Quartet role as “Middle East peace envoy,” a grotesque misnomer in which his support for Israel’s decades-long violent denial of a Palestinian state is half-camouflaged by code words such as “restraint by both sides please.”
He has shrugged off the flagrant conflict of interest between his advisory and ambassadorial functions despite mounting condemnation, while performing extra tricks as a self-appointed spokesperson-and-egger-on-extraordinary for Western imperialism.’
Chilcot inquiry: Tony Blair and Jack Straw to get warning letters ahead of publication of report into 2003 invasion of Iraq
By : UnknownChilcot inquiry: Tony Blair and Jack Straw to get warning letters ahead of publication of report into 2003 invasion of Iraq
‘Sir John Chilcot, chair of the public inquiry into the 2003 invasion of Iraq, is poised to send formal letters to those whose conduct he criticises in his final report.
The then Prime Minister, Tony Blair, and Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, are among those expected to be sent what are known as “Salmon” or “Maxwellisation” letters in the coming weeks. Anyone criticised in public inquiries is entitled to see and challenge extracts related to them before publication. The letters are named after Lord Salmon, who held a public ethics inquiry in the 1970s, and the late newspaper baron Robert Maxwell, who challenged the way criticisms of his dealings were handled in a public report.’
Can Psychopaths Be Cured?
By : UnknownCan Psychopaths Be Cured?
‘To the best of our knowledge, there is no cure for psychopathy. No pill can instill empathy, no vaccine can prevent murder in cold blood, and no amount of talk therapy can change an uncaring mind. For all intents and purposes, psychopaths are lost to the normal social world.
But that hasn’t stopped the scientists who study psychopaths from trying to bring them back. In 2012, Dr. Kent Kiehl, a psychologist at the University of Mexico and one of the foremost experts on psychopathy, discovered that psychopaths have reduced gray matter in the paralimbic system of the brain. His longtime suspicions were confirmed: Psychopaths — who are unremorseful and antisocial — have fundamentally different brains than the rest of us. The finding was replicated in psychopathic youth the following year. While the link between brain structure and psychopathy is correlational, the youth data strongly suggested that the stunted paralimbic system is present from birth.’

‘Tony Blair faces being summoned before Parliament to explain the secret deals he made with Sinn Fein to assure IRA suspects “on the run” that they were not wanted by the police, The Sunday Telegraph can disclose.
The former prime minister has been accused of dodging a Commons select committee investigating the affair.’
