‘Fox’s Media Buzz host Howard Kurtz definitively laid blame on Hamas Sunday morning for initiating the current hostilities with Israel, stating at the top of his show, “There is no question that Hamas started the latest round of mideast violence, first with the killing of three Israeli teenagers, and then by firing rockets indiscriminately at the Jewish state.”
BuzzFeed’s Dorsey Shaw noticed the line right away, and thought it fishy, as word emerged Friday that the kidnappings were likely the work of a lone cell — “Hamas-affiliated,” in the words of BBC’s Jon Donnison, “but not operating under leadership.”
Kurtz amended his statement later on Twitter: “My point on the three slain Israeli teenagers is that Hamas praised killings as a heroic act.”‘

Despite neither the picture nor the event having been confirmed by Israeli sources, the BBC report is unlikely to be a hoax.’

On Tuesday, Israel’s tanks shelled the school belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in al-Maghazi, located in central Gaza, an official said on condition of anonymity.

David Anderson QC has called on the Government to revisit its definition of terrorism in his annual report published today as the UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation.
The UK has some of the most extensive anti-terrorism laws in the western world, Mr Anderson said, giving ministers the powers they need to combat violence perpetrated by al-Qa’ida inspired terrorists, right-wing extremists and dissident groups in Northern Ireland. They also enable prosecutions to be brought for activities in other countries including Syria and Iraq.’

‘Britain is continuing to export millions of pounds worth of military equipment to Russia despite concerns Moscow is arming separatist rebels in Ukraine, MPs have warned.
The Commons Committees on Arms Export Controls (CAEC) have revealed that 251 export licences for the sale to Russia of controlled goods worth at least £132million remain in place.
Among the licences which remain valid are permits covering sniper rifles, night sights, small arms ammunition, gun mountings, body armour, military communications equipment and ‘equipment employing cryptography’.’
